The purpose of this Call for Proposals is to provide continued funding to EDCTP Regional Networks that have demonstrated significant progress towards achieving the pre-defined deliverables set out in the 2015 call.

The purpose of this call for proposals is to fund a number of small- to medium-scale clinical trials and/or clinical research studies that can deliver proof-of-concept or validation of smart, highly innovative technologies or concepts to prevent, treat or diagnose PRDs in sub-Saharan Africa.

The purpose of this call for proposals is to support distinct strategic actions which are part of a large-scale programme of development cooperation actions. Projects should focus on research to maximise the uptake of products and health interventions in sub-Saharan Africa. The projects should be implemented in conjunction with development cooperation initiatives that are supported by national and/or international development cooperation initiatives and/or other funders, including relevant WHO initiatives where appropriate.

The L'Oréal Portugal Honor Medals for Women in Science are designed to carry out advanced post-doctoral research studies at universities or other Portuguese institutions of recognized merit, in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology for Health or the Environment. All doctorates who have obtained a doctoral degree less than 5 years before the date of the opening of the competition and who do not complete, by the end of the current year, over 35 years can apply.

Better use of process excess/waste heat represents a significant source of energy savings for industries. In a context of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and introducing the concept of circular economy in heat management in view of industrial process electrification, European industries have a clear interest in finding new ways to capture the heat produced by their process and to reuse it or to produce electricity.

Next cut-off on September 3

Applications are open for EUROSTARS, a joint program between the EUREKA Network and the European Commission.

The aim of this program is to promote international R&D projects, led by SMEs that develop R&D activities (research-performing SMEs) in consortium with other companies, higher education institutions or research centers, facilitating access to public funding.

The initiative is aimed at companies and non-business entities in the research and innovation system that intend to develop a new product, process or service in international collaboration and quickly access international markets.

ANI and FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology present the event "Missions in Horizon Europe - Climate, Soil and Cities". This stakeholder event focused on the Climate, Soil and Cities of the Horizon Europe missions will take place on the 16th of June, through the online platform Zoom.

The framework of the initiative - which marks its start - will be given by a representative of the European Commission with the presentation of the concept of mission under this Program. Throughout the afternoon, Helena Freitas, Teresa Pinto Correia and Paulo Ferrão, as members of the Mission Boards, promote thematic sessions directed to each specific area: climate, soil and cities respectively.
